The village is mostly a walking village with condos above the shops. Hotels
abound, as well. The village is ski-oriented in the winter and golf-oriented in
the summer. Right now is the transitional period when neither is particularily
busy. Ordinarily, the village would be packed with people.
Here is one particular local house that is really unusual. It looks like a
mushroom to me.
It reminds me of something from Alice and Wonderland. I expect the catepillar with the hookah to be sitting on top smoking something.
Most houses in Whistler are more conventional but usually built with large wooden beams, natural siding, lots of rock in the landscaping and metal roofs.
